Raina just wants to be a normal sixth grader, but one night she trips and falls, severely injuring her two front teeth. What follows is:
- a major earthquake, boy confusion, and friends who turn out to be not so friendly. The entire story goes from Raina's sixth grade to tenth. SMILE
- Drama follows Callie Marin, a seventh-grader at Eucalyptus Middle School. At the beginning of the novel, Callie is the set designer for her school's production of Moon over Mississippi. Callie and her crew try to make the play a success by working through budget problems and interpersonal conflicts within the crew. Callie also deals with personal tween or teen hardships, including confusing school crushes and balancing new and old friendships. DRAMA
- Sisters is another book based on a true story that happened to Raina. Raina and her sister, Amara are stuck for a week in car on a trip from San Franscisco to Colarado Springs. I spent my birthday money on this cool book!
- I love this book because it teaches kids how to love your siblings and how it's normal for siblings to fight!
- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Catrina and her family move to Bahía de la Luna, a small town on the Northern California coast, hoping that the cool, salty air will help her little sister, Maya, who suffers from cystic fibrosis. Cat is not happy about leaving her friends, and becomes even more upset about the move when a neighbor informs the sisters that the town is inhabited by ghosts, and that Dia de los Muertos-- a time of year when ghosts reunite with their loved ones-- is coming up and is celebrated by the entire town. Maya is thrilled about the idea of meeting ghosts, but Cat wants nothing to do with the Day of the Dead celebrations.
